Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gardener/Handy person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills to assist with various maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that our facilities and grounds are well-maintained and functional. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently while demonstrating a strong attention to detail. Experience in gardening and diy is essential

Duties

Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs to fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
Conduct landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and irrigation.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various repair and maintenance projects.
Assist in groundskeeping duties to ensure the aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas.
Undertake minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as needed.
Maintain an organised inventory of tools and supplies required for daily tasks.
Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in maintenance person services or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely.
Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including irrigation systems.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Excellent time management skills with the capability to prioritise tasks effectively.
A valid driving licence may be required for travel between locations.

We welcome candidates who are eager to contribute their skills in a dynamic environment while ensuring high standards of maintenance and care. Our hotel is open 365 days a year and candidates must be available to work weekends and bank/public holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
