Full job description

We are looking for a motivated and organised Accounts Assistant to join our growing team based in Market Harborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounting experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities;

Managing bookkeeping and VAT work for a varied client portfolio
Assisting with the preparation of accounts
Supporting the preparation of self-assessment and corporation tax returns
Carrying out general compliance and administrative accounting tasks
Acting as a point of contact for clients and responding to queries professionally
Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of clients
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring deadlines are met

What we are looking for;

Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT qualifications
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
