Full job description

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient wellbeing. Experience in care, dementia, Alzheimer's, end of life, or general caregiving is highly desirable. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance.

Duties

Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, ensuring their safety and comfort
Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and minimise distress
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation
Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance mental wellbeing
Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary
Document care activities accurately in accordance with organisational policies

Skills

Proven experience in home care, or home care environments
Strong knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration.
Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, end of life care ,
Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards clients.
Good organisational skills for meal preparation and daily routines
Valid driving licence .
Care qualification, (care certificate, Nvq qualification), willingness to undertake training is expected
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: £12.82-£13.12 per hour
