Full job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The role:

The ESP Support Secretary will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) clinical team within the Institute of Neurosciences. The role requires someone proactive, selfmotivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a busy clinical team. The role is based within the Institute of Neurosciences, working in a fastpaced clinical environment where flexibility and effective workload prioritisation are essential.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Full-time, Permanent

Base location - Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

Shift Pattern - Monday-Friday 8.30-16.30

Key responsibilities:

Providing secretarial support to the ESP clinical team
Managing waiting lists
Prioritising workload in a fastpaced environment
Working independently without close supervision
Supporting the smooth operation of clinical services through strong organisation and communication

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Proven secretarial experience
Experience managing waiting lists
Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently
Good working knowledge of NHSGGC IT systems and applications
