Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender or Front of House to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment, showcasing your skills in serving beverages and engaging with patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible service standards. The successful applicant will be an organized individual with excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards
Engage with guests to ensure a positive experience, taking orders and providing recommendations when needed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to responsible service policies
Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately
Restock bar supplies as required to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient and friendly service during busy periods
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and alcohol service

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in serving or bartending roles, is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with diverse guests
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
A personable attitude with a genuine interest in hospitality and guest satisfaction
