Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bar Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the food and beverage industry while contributing to a memorable guest experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards
Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system
Assist in restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels
Engage with guests in a friendly manner, creating a welcoming environment
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Adhere to licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol policies

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Experience in serving or bartending roles is desirable but not mandatory
Strong organisational skills with effective time management abilities
Basic maths skills for handling payments and change accurately
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of customer service
