Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar panel systems on various sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while developing technical expertise in the field of solar technology. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge.

Duties

Safely installing solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops or ground-mounted systems
Operating specialised tools such as hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and secure components
Connecting electrical wiring and ensuring systems are correctly wired in accordance with safety standards
Conducting system tests to verify proper operation and troubleshooting any issues that arise during or after installation
Assisting with site preparation, including the utilisation of mechanical knowledge to interpret technical drawings and plans
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Maintaining organised work areas and documenting installation progress

Experience

Proven experience in electrical installation, Solar PV and battery installations
Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring practices relevant to solar energy installations
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in using various tools and equipment

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about renewable energy technology who are eager to develop their skills within a dynamic industry. Applicants should be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £400.00-£450.00 per day
