Job Overview

DDA Haulage LTD are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper / Day Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate large commercial vehicles, with the flexibility of being a tramper or day tipper driver. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods across various locations, maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

Safely operate HGV Class 1 truck
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
Load, secure, and deliver goods accurately to various destinations, following scheduled routes and delivery instructions
Manage paperwork such as delivery notes, logs, and compliance documentation with precision
Maintain communication with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues and the public

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed loads or similar cargo types
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and excellent time management skills
Knowledge of road regulations, safety standards, and best practices for commercial driving
Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
Prefereably 1 year HGV1 UK driving experience
