Full job description

Job Overview
The Knight Court Hotel is looking for enthusiastic and professional Front of House Staff to join our small team. This role involves being customer facing ensuring guests have a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for people, a keen eye for detail and a "can do" attitude. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous - common sense is a must.

This role will involve morning and evening shifts, as well as weekends and holidays, approximately 10-20 hours across 5/6 days each week. This role will include bar work and so all applicants must be over 18.

Duties include (but not limited to):

Serving breakfast: taking orders, tea/coffee, food handling, cleaning
Bar: serving drinks, maintaining the bar, stock rotation and levels, cash handling, guest interaction, cleaning
Dinner service: preparing in the kitchen, laying tables, food handling, guest interaction and relaying for breakfast
Reception: Answering the phone, taking bookings, dealing with check-in, emails and taking payments

Skills

Previous experience in catering, serving, or restaurant environments is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is an advantage
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to work well and as part of a team during busy service periods
Basic food preparation skills are desirable but not essential
A genuine interest in hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service

We are looking for someone who is available now and through till we close for Christmas at the end of November. Please have this in mind if you apply for the roll.
