Job Overview

General Manager – Hotel, Bar & Restaurant

Full-Time | Permanent

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our 28 bed hotel, bar and restaurant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing a great team and delivering consistently high standards for guests.

The Role

As General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful running of the business, including the hotel, bar and restaurant. You will ensure excellent customer service while maintaining strong commercial performance and a positive, professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel, bar and restaurant
Lead, motivate and develop the management team and wider staff
Maintain excellent standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment and training
Monitor sales, costs, budgets and overall profitability
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and grow the business
Maintain high standards across food working with our Head Chef & Kitchen manager, maintain high standard across our beverage, accommodation and housekeeping
Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, food hygiene and company procedures
Deal professionally with guest feedback and resolve any issues
Build strong relationships with customers and the local community
Create a positive working culture where the team can perform at their best
Work with our Regional Operation Manager to improve, maintain and suceed in all areas of the business.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience as a General Manager, Assistant General manager or Multi Department Manager, or similar senior hospitality role with a minimum of 3 years management experience.
Experience within hotels, restaurants, bars or a multi-department hospitality business
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Good commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets, costs and profitability
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
High standards and excellent attention to detail
A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
The ability to remain organised and professional in a busy environment
