Job Overview

This role is a requires knife skills and experience with a deep fat fryer

We are seeking a motivated Fry Chef/Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our family run Asian Kitchen. In this role, you will be essential in preparing delicious meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and supporting the overall food service operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the value we place on your contribution.

Duties

Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
Support cooking activities by following established procedures and ensuring food quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
Ensure food safety standards are met by adhering to hygiene protocols and proper storage practices
Help with meal assembly and presentation to ensure timely service during busy periods
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly
Support serving staff with food delivery and presentation when required

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
