Where tradition meets taste! Victoria Sponge is a wholesale baking company dedicated to crafting the finest traditional and nostalgic baked goods. With recipes refined over generations, we bring the warmth of homemade baking to our business, delivering everything from buttery cookies to rich and flavourful cakes. At Victoria Sponge, we believe in the magic of classic flavours that evoke cherished memories and create new ones. Every batch is made with love, using high-quality ingredients and time-honoured techniques, ensuring that each bite tastes just like it came from Granny's kitchen.

We are looking for an enthusiastic baker to join our team and grow with our fast growing company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development as we want you to become an integral part of our team. Working alongside Victoria, our founder, in developing new recipes and continuing to deliver a consistent high standard of bakes to our valued clients. As well as working on wholesale baking products there will be lots of opportunity for you to join in at events and work on creative projects such as wedding cakes, shows and photoshoots. Although not necessary it is preferred that you have excellent knowledge and experience of baking a range of products from breads to pastries.

What we expect from you:

Reliable, trustworthy and accountable.
A positive contribution to the workplace.
A good ability to speak, read and write English to enable you to communicate within the workplace and with clients.
Good time management and able to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent organisation skills.
Able to carry out physically demanding work (batch baking can be heavy!).
Someone who takes ownership of their role and takes pride in carrying out the role to the best of their ability.
Must be able to work efficiently and under pressure, as a wholesale supplier we are working on multiple things at once.

Key Responsibilities:

Ingredient preparation.
Baking cakes, cookies, breads and pastries.
Cleaning.
Packing orders for delivery.
Handling deliveries and stock.
Record keeping e.g. Cleaning schedule.
Social Media Posts.

What we will provide:

All training will be provided including health and safety certification.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
