Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant/Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of drinks and desserts, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety.

Responsibilities

Prepare iced drinks/ hot drinks to the exact measurements consistently.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, and cleaning the entire cafe at the end of every close.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.

Experience

Previous cafe/hospitality experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety procedures is desirable to uphold hygiene standards.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Fluency in english is necessary
Good time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your customer service skills within a supportive team environment while working in a dynamic café setting.
