Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years 3rd in Charge and Room Leader to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role offers an opportunity to lead by example, manage daily activities, and contribute to the professional development of the team. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about working with young children and committed to fostering their growth and development.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily activities within the designated nursery room, ensuring they are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with early years curriculum standards
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the nursery setting
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and professional conduct
Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, planning documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Drive company policies on safeguarding and behaviour management to ensure a secure environment for all children

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent)
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of childcare legislation

This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is passionate about early childhood education, possesses strong organisational skills, and enjoys working as part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care for young children.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
