Full job description

This is a 3 month, full time, fixed term contract with the possibility of it being extended based on business needs.

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's experience working with sourdough in a commercial bakery environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bread & pastries
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
Ensure all baked goods are presented attractively for display or sale.
Adhere to health and safety standards at all times while working in the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen or bakery setting with a focus on food preparation and baking.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
A creative mindset with a passion for baking and cooking.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required.
