Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Motor Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles and machinery operate safely and effectively, supporting the smooth running of our operations. We require 5 years mechanical experience.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify faults or issues.
Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals to facilitate accurate repairs.
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical components.
Engine rebuilds experience including timing chain / belt replacements is required in this job role.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
Carry out welding and fabrication work as required for repairs or modifications.
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out for compliance and future reference.
Assist with the installation of new equipment or components as needed.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role with a solid understanding of vehicle systems.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical schematics accurately.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair tasks.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and diagnostics.
Good communication skills for customer interactions and teamwork.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in motor mechanics or automotive technology are preferred but not essential. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical skills are valued and developed further. Pay: From £700.00 per week
