Job Overview

We’re a fast-growing, dynamic business with a strong reputation for delivering quality HGV services and repairs. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Mechanic/Workshop Manager to join and lead our friendly team to Manage our in-house fleet + external customers.

Duties

Manage and review existing workshop practices and lead a team of mechanics/fitters
Manage and prepare vehicles for MOT
Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing HGV's to DVSA standards using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance skills and knowledge.Qualifications

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanic/Workshop manager or in a similar role is preferred.
Able to use Jaltest Diagnostic Equipment, Rolling Road Brake Tester and Shaker Plates
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills to lead and interact with team members and clients.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology.
