Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring and refurbishing alloy wheels to a high standard, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for automotive aesthetics. The position involves working in a dynamic environment where safety, precision, and efficiency are paramount.

Duties

Prepare alloy wheels for refurbishment by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required
Use specialised hand tools and power tools to remove old paint, corrosion, and damage from wheels
Apply primers, paints, and finishes to achieve the desired colour and gloss levels
Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets company standards and customer expectations
Perform heavy lifting of wheels and related materials safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and productivity
Follow health and safety protocols at all times during refurbishment processes
Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance

Experience

Previous experience in automotive bodywork, wheel refurbishment, or similar technical roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding the refurbishment process
Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and brushes is preferred
Experience with power tools used in surface preparation and finishing processes is beneficial
Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely is essential
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are vital attributes
