Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Care Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our care home. This vital role involves managing administrative functions, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth communication across teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in office management to create an efficient and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Manage all administrative tasks including scheduling, record keeping, and maintaining resident files using or in house tools and other office software
Supervise team members, providing guidance on human resources policies, team management, and performance standards
Oversee clerical duties such as answering phones with professional phone etiquette, handling correspondence, and managing office supplies
Coordinate with staff to ensure compliance with care regulations and internal policies
Facilitate effective communication between departments, residents’ families, healthcare providers, and external agencies
Assist with human resources functions including onboarding new staff, tracking attendance, and supporting staff development initiatives
Maintain organized records of financial transactions, billing, and other administrative reports

Qualifications

Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles within a healthcare or care home setting
Demonstrated team management and supervising experience
Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
Background in human resources or personnel management is preferred
Prior experience in supervising office or administrative teams is highly desirable
