Full job description

MAG Welder – Exhaust Component Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced MAG TIG Welder to join a specialist manufacturing team producing high-quality stainless and mild steel exhaust components.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and has a strong focus on quality, precision and safety. Experience working with thin-gauge stainless steel in a manufacturing or workshop environment would be particularly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Weld exhaust system components in stainless and mild steel
Manufacture components to required company quality standards
Use fixtures and tooling to accurately assemble components
Complete and sign off relevant job documentation
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
Follow all company health and safety procedures
Carry out work accurately and efficiently to production requirements

Experience & Skills

Essential:

Previous experience using welding techniques and processes
Experience working within a manufacturing, factory or workshop environment
Confident using fixtures for component assembly
Experience welding stainless steel up to 2 mm thick
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

Desirable:

Experience with MAG and/or TIG fusion welding
Basic understanding of weld symbols
Previous experience manufacturing exhaust or similar thin-gauge components
