Overview
We are offering an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join as a Labourer / Trainee Poultry House Builder on a self-employed basis. This role provides hands-on experience in poultry housing construction, with the potential to develop a broad range of building skills. Suitable for those interested in construction , this position offers flexible working arrangements and the chance to learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assisting with the construction and assembly of poultry houses, including framing, roofing, and cladding
Operating various hand tools and power tools safely
Preparing work sites by organising materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Supporting the installation of ventilation systems, doors, windows, and other poultry house components
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout projects
Learning and applying trade skills under supervision to develop expertise in poultry house construction

Requirements

Basic understanding or interest in construction
Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and undertake physical labour tasks
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
Valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; reliable transportation is beneficial for site access

This position is ideal for individuals seeking practical experience in construction trades within the poultry industry. Applicants should be organised, eager to learn, and prepared to undertake physically demanding tasks while developing valuable skills for future career progression.
