Job Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Health Care Assistant, where your compassion and enthusiasm will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in our Care Home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help foster a positive environment for both clients and colleagues. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills while making a real impact in the community.

Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
Support the implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update records regularly
Monitor health conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff or On site Registered Manager
Uphold health and safety standards by adhering to policies, assisting with risk assessments, and ensuring a clean environment

Skills

Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is highly desirable
Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans effectively
Proficiency with IT systems used for record keeping and communication within healthcare settings
Strong communication skills in English to interact empathetically with clients, families, and team members
Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with diverse individuals
Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
