Job Summary

Are you self-motivated, trustworthy and reliable? Do you have experience as a letting negotiator? Do you have experience in forming and developing great relationships with customers and colleagues? If so, this Lettings negotiator position could be for you!

Harringtons Lettings is currently looking for a negotiator. They manage a substantial amount of property, residential and commercial throughout the Brighton and Hove and Sussex area. You will be required to make a huge amount of phone calls on a daily basis. You are an integral part of the team so your telephone manner should be exemplarily.

As a lettings negotiator you will play a key part in helping tenants to find the right property, working with your landlords to support them in the renting process from marketing through to negotiation, progressing a tenancy and move ins. Throughout this you will be offering exceptional customer service to both your applicants and landlords.

We are a friendly, efficient and highly organised office and therefore the person must be highly motivated and a self-starter. They must be able to work under pressure. Harringtons Lettings have been an established independent letting agency for 29 years and we pride ourselves on the wealth of knowledge and experience we have in the industry.

Job Type / Category

Suitable candidates will have the following attributes:

· The applicant must be able to drive and hold a full UK driving license.

· At least one years’ experience with a similar role within the lettings industry.

· We are looking for somebody with a strong work ethic and is able to work under pressure in a fast-paced office.

· Be flexible within their role and be willing to work in whichever department requires assistance.

· The candidate needs to be a person who is organised, punctual and has excellent communication skills in person and on the phone.

Experience in using CFP, Docusign, DPS, Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word (preferred but not essential)

· You would also be potentially required to cover other administration roles in order to help the office as we are a close-knit team.

Your role will include the following duties:

Registering & booking in tenants for viewings over the phone and via email.
Carrying out viewings with prospective tenants.
Taking marketing photos to be used on the property advert listings.
Updating property portals such as Rightmove, Zoopla and On the Market, updating our website and preparing brochures and window cards
Carrying out inventories, check-outs and inspections when required.

· Ensuring landlords are up to date on all matters.

· Negotiating offers.

· Providing a high level of service.

· We would expect you to have a minimum one years experience.

The hours are 8.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. The salary is £28,500 per annum. Please note we do not supply company cars, we offer a pool car to be used within office hours with this role.
