Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This energetic role requires a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced, fine dining environment and is committed to delivering exceptional food experiences. As a key member of our management team, you will ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and service while managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining efficient kitchen workflows. Your expertise will help elevate our culinary offerings and foster a positive, collaborative kitchen atmosphere.

Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep chefs, and dishwashers, ensuring smooth shift operations and high-quality food production
Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to meet the restaurant’s standards for excellence in fine dining
Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels to minimize waste and control costs
Enforce strict food safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of exceptional culinary experiences
Train team members on food handling, cooking techniques, and service procedures to foster skill development and consistency
Monitor kitchen workflow during shifts, manage staffing schedules, and ensure efficient shift management

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production within a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting with banquet experience preferred
Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated team management and leadership abilities
Extensive knowledge of dietary department practices, food safety standards, and inventory management
Hands-on experience in food preparation, catering, and restaurant management
Familiarity with menu planning, food service management, and kitchen operations in the food industry
Excellent cooking skills combined with a solid understanding of kitchen management principles
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience supervising staff in a hospitality environment is highly desirable
