Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality and culinary sectors, as it provides an excellent opportunity to learn about food preparation and kitchen operations.

Minimum 2 years experience is essential for this role
Full & Part time roles available

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and in good working order.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the kitchen management promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
A keen interest in culinary arts and a desire to develop skills within the hospitality industry.
