Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, experienced cleaning operative (part time) to join our successful team working a mixture of mornings, evenings and weekends. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial and public spaces. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure environments are safe, welcoming, and well-presented for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with autonomy and takes pride in their work.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within scheduled times to maintain operational flow
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet rolls to ensure continuous availability
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management for swift resolution
Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and supply usage as required
Support team members during busy periods or special cleaning projects to uphold cleanliness standards

Skills

Proven experience in commercial cleaning with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively
Strong communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues accurately
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
Positive attitude with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
Must hold a valid UK driving licence (vehicle provided)
