Full job description

£180 per day / £900 per week PAYE

Monday–Friday | No Multidrop | Permanent Vehicle

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and professional HGV Class 2 (Category C) Day Driver to join our team.

This is a full-time, permanent PAYE position carrying out general haulage collections and deliveries. This is not multidrop work.

What We Offer

£180 per day PAYE
£900 per 5-day week
Monday to Friday
No multidrop
No handball
Permanent allocated vehicle
Clean, modern and well-maintained trucks
Sensible start times
Typical working day approximately 10–12 hours, depending on workload and route
Opportunity for additional overtime on Saturdays or Sundays when available
Company uniform and safety equipment provided
Necessary training provided
Friendly and supportive transport office

Your Responsibilities

Collecting and delivering various consignments throughout the UK
Completing collections and deliveries within agreed time constraints
Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
Keeping in regular contact with the transport office throughout the day
Completing all required paperwork correctly
Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers
Looking after your allocated vehicle and keeping it clean and presentable

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence
Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
Valid Driver CPC
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence
Good geographical knowledge
Very good spoken English and communication skills
Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time regulations
Ability to work to collection and delivery deadlines
A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
General haulage experience would be an advantage

The Role

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and vehicle and understands the importance of good communication with both customers and the transport office.
