Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee based drinks, ice cream etc..The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop barista skills and gain experience in the food service industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system, including processing payments and giving change.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and serving areas in accordance with food safety standards.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

Experience

Previous barista experience is essential, you will be asked to make a coffee as part of your interview.
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Basic food preparation skills are beneficial for assisting with light food items.
Good time management skills are essential to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling purposes. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a lively environment, enjoy working with people, and are committed to delivering excellent service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
