Operations Manager - Scaffolding

We are looking for an experienced and driven Scaffolding Operations Manager to join one of the fastest-growing scaffolding companies in the North West, backed by a strong and diverse client portfolio.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can manage teams, coordinate resources, maintain high safety standards, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of multiple scaffolding teams across live projects and sites.
Plan workloads, allocate labour, coordinate materials, and manage plant, transport, deliveries, and collections.
Ensure all scaffolding works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with company standards.
Carry out site visits, audits, toolbox talks, quality checks, and safety inspections.
Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, method statements, and industry best practice.
Lead, support, and develop supervisors, scaffolders, yard teams, and operational staff.
Manage team performance, attendance, training requirements, and recruitment needs.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, site managers, and internal departments.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, profitability, and operational processes.
Support commercial planning, project reporting, cost control, and business growth initiatives.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience managing scaffolding operations, contracts, teams, or site delivery.
Strong leadership, organisational, and planning skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work confidently with clients, contractors, and site teams.
Sound knowledge of scaffolding regulations, safe systems of work, RAMS, and construction health and safety requirements.
Commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and confidence making decisions under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and teams at the same time.
Full UK driving licence.
CISRS Scaffolding
SMSTS, SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent qualifications would be an advantage
