Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker/Sales Person to join our dynamic team in a wholesale flower market. This role involves efficiently selecting and preparing products for dispatch while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse experience, and a strong work ethic. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, inventory management, and sales within a wholesale environment. The job requires early 2.30am morning starts 6 days a week.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick orders using warehouse management systems and manual methods
Load and unload goods safely, employing appropriate handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts
Stock shelves and organise inventory to ensure easy access and stock rotation
Conduct quality control checks to maintain product standards
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring correct documentation and procedures are followed
Pack orders securely for delivery, paying attention to packaging standards
Operate mechanical equipment safely, including forklifts, adhering to health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment at all times
Support sales activities by providing excellent customer service and product knowledge of flowers and plants and advantage.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations, including picking & packing, stock management.
Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting when necessary
Experience operating forklifts is desirable but training available
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in order accuracy and quality control
Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks throughout the shift
A good telephone manner
Clean driving license would be an advantage
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Hours of Work

6 day week
2.30am start 11am finish Monday - Friday
2.30am start 9am finish Saturday

Pay: £29,250.00 per year
