Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. Your proactive approach will help optimize supply chain operations, manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), and maintain accurate transportation records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your analysis skills and communication abilities will drive success.

Duties

Coordinate daily transportation schedules using transportation management systems to ensure smooth delivery operations
Collaborate with 3PL providers, carriers, and internal teams to plan routes and resolve logistical issues promptly
Manage shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring accuracy in data entry and compliance with company policies
Tracking shipments, and updating inventory records
Monitor shipment statuses, analyze transportation data, and generate reports to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
Maintain clear communication with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer via phone etiquette and professional correspondence
Oversee shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper handling of goods and adherence to safety standards

Requirements

Proven experience with transportation management systems and supply chain processes
Strong understanding of logistics operations, including shipping & receiving procedures
Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and related workflows
Excellent analysis skills to interpret transportation data and optimize routes or processes
Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners
Attention to detail in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism through phone etiquette and typing accuracy
