Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing daily food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, and managing the overall functioning of the kitchen to deliver outstanding dining experiences. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for quality and excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control
Manage daily kitchen operations, including staffing schedules, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with the management team to meet customer preferences and seasonal trends
Train and mentor staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
Monitor food quality during preparation and service to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production, cooking, and food safety
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques and restaurant service standards
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with health regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is essential
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
