Full job description

Night Supervisor (Cleaning Services)
Location: On-site
Hours: 40 hours per week (Night Shift)
Reporting to: Senior Supervisor / Assistant Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Night Supervisor to oversee our night cleaning operations. This role is key to ensuring our client’s environment remains clean, safe, and well-maintained while delivering high standards of service.

You will lead a team of cleaning operatives, support daily operations, and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and in line with agreed specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support night cleaning operatives to ensure all duties are completed to the required standard
Carry out daily quality inspections and self-audits using the SafetyCulture app, taking corrective action when needed
Actively participate in cleaning duties and provide hands-on support when required
Monitor and manage client requests via the Planon system, ensuring timely completion and escalation where necessary
Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance, including correct use of PPE and adherence to safe systems of work
Conduct regular checks of equipment and report defects promptly
Ensure cleaning stores and cupboards are clean, organised, and fully stocked
Support administrative tasks such as shift handovers, incident reporting, emails, and updates
Deliver inductions, on-the-job training, and toolbox talks to team members
Provide daily guidance, coaching, and motivation to maintain high performance
Monitor attendance and ensure correct use of time and attendance systems
Assist with rota planning, holiday coordination, and team cover arrangements
Complete stock checks and ensure consumables are replenished in a timely manner
Maintain professional communication with clients, colleagues, and visitors at all times
Support the Senior Supervisor with additional duties and provide cover when required

Requirements

Strong leadership and team management skills
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Good command of the English language (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and make confident decisions

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

Experience within cleaning, facilities management, or logistics
Additional language skills (Spanish or Portuguese)
