Full job description

Service Administrator

We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Service Administrator to join our growing Service Department. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy, agile team operating in a strategically important area of the business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our service operations by preparing quotations, developing service contract proposals, negotiating commercial terms, and producing professional contract documentation for customers. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering exceptional attention to detail.

We will consider part-time candidates, hours and salary to be discussed and agreed.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue service quotations in a timely and accurate manner.
Build, develop and maintain service contract proposals and renewals.
Support the negotiation of contract terms and commercial agreements with customers.
Produce and manage service contract documentation and associated records.
Liaise with customers via telephone and email, providing a professional and responsive service.
Work closely with internal departments to ensure quotations and contracts meet customer and business requirements.
Monitor contract opportunities and support business growth initiatives.
Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems.
Assist with general administration activities within the Service Department as required.

Skills & Experience:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to communicate confidently and professionally via email and telephone.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing, or service-based environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen and an appreciation of customer and business needs. Be adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working within a dynamic environment and take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

What We Offer:

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 08.15 – 17.00, Fridays 08.15 – 14.00.
£24,500 - £26,000 Per Annum – Depending on experience.
Annual Leave: 22 days, plus Bank Holidays (accumulating +1 day for every 3 years of service).
Company Pension: 4% employer contributions.
