Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Floor Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the smooth operation of our hospitality environment, ensuring excellent guest experiences through attentive service and efficient support in food and beverage areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for food safety and cleanliness. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and appearance.
Support the serving staff in delivering exceptional guest services, including taking orders and delivering food and beverages.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations in accordance with food safety regulations.
Help with meal preparation tasks under supervision, ensuring timely service during busy periods.
Support delivery drivers by organising deliveries and ensuring proper storage upon arrival.
Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when handling reservations or guest inquiries.
Assist in setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure food safety standards are met at all times.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and food safety procedures is advantageous.
Experience as a delivery driver or in culinary roles such as barista or kitchen assistant is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette are required to interact confidently with guests and team members.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
A friendly demeanour with a genuine interest in guest services and hospitality excellence.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to grow their skills while contributing to a welcoming guest experience.
