Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering language development and supporting learners of all ages, including children and individuals with special needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ communication skills and confidence through engaging and tailored instruction. The position is paid and suitable for those who are enthusiastic about education and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging English language lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, including young children and learners with disabilities
Develop customised lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods and resources to enhance learning outcomes
Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching strategies to accommodate their abilities
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation, confidence, and progress
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each learner’s development
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and lesson plans in accordance with organisational policies
Incorporate tutoring techniques to reinforce language skills outside of formal lessons when appropriate

Qualifications

Proven experience in teaching English as a second language or in an educational setting
Knowledge of special education principles and experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Experience working with children, including toddlers, is preferred
Prior tutoring experience is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to create inclusive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and needs
Compassionate approach with excellent organisational skills and patience for working with young children and learners requiring additional support

24 August to 11 September

7 September to 25 September

Pay: £20.00 per hour
