Wren Sterling specialises in all aspects of savings, investments, and retirement planning to individuals. Through successful partnerships with Building Societies, we deliver independent financial advice to their customers. For corporate clients we provide advice on engaging employees through the provision of group risk, protection, and other employee benefit solutions.

Role Overview

This role can be based in any of our offices in Scotland. (Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness)

The role supports our Advisers in engaging clients on ongoing service programmes. The role is focused on client service and client retention, ensuring that our promises to clients are delivered. Through the use of traditional mailing and telephone calls, the role holder will ensure that clients are offered their regular financial reviews and maintain the client records system to enable swift and accurate management information is available to Senior Managers.

Principle Objectives & Responsibilities

Principle Objectives and Responsibilities include the following, other objectives may be assigned:

Establish contact with clients and gather sufficient information needed to enable the delivery of agreed services.
Day to day management of client contact strategy to deliver client reviews.
Preparation and production of client mailings related to review services.
Processing of response forms and liaising with advisers to ensure clients are reviewed as agreed.
Preparation and production of Review Meeting Packs including Valuations
Undertaking large scale data cleansing exercises, cash audits or other centralised activities
Adhere to all company process and procedures
Complete all documentation for the review process in a thorough and conscientious manner.
Maintain client records on Intelligent Office to ensure they are up to date and accurate and in line with company standards.
Be aware of limits of authorisation, in particular, know when to refer queries to a suitably qualified individual.
Be adequately prepared for regular and annual review meetings with supervisor.
Promote professional behaviour by demonstrating courtesy and respect to all colleagues and following the Company’s equality and diversity policy at all times.
Ensuring health and safety policies are observed.
Completion of other reasonable duties, as defined by the Senior Management Team.

Knowledge Required

Knowledge of the financial planning market including products and services.
Working knowledge of FCA Rules, Guidance Notes and Commitments that apply to the job role.
1 year plus experience in an IFA/Wealth Management environment.

Skills Required

Essential skills:

Strong IT literacy, including all Microsoft Packages.
Experience of Intelligent Office
Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
Customer focused.
Confidence to speak to clients via the telephone to arrange client reviews.
Confidence to develop strong, sustainable relationships with clients, colleagues and product providers.
Self-motivated.
Problem-solving.
Decision-making.
Ability to efficiently manage priorities

Desirable skills:

Experience of financial advice and understanding opportunities for advice
Coaching, mentoring and development experience.
Project management

Key Performance Indicators

The performance of the staff member assigned to this job role function shall be measured by:

Individual / Team meets financial targets, KPIs and SLAs.
Internal and external customer satisfaction measures.
Feedback from senior colleagues, advisers and team members.
Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Adherence to compliance and other legal regulatory processes.
