Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated fabricator / Welder for an IMMEDIATE Start. DRIVING IS ESSENTIAL The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components mainly stainless steel with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality products. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background and experience in welding and fabrication processes.

Duties

Perform TIG welding on various materials Stainless steel being our main metal, including sheet metal, to precise specifications
Utilise a range of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication work
Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using appropriate tools and techniques
Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products as require

Requirements

Onsite installation within a food manufacturing environment experience essential
Proven experience in TIG welding is essential
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks
Strong understanding of sheet metal work and mechanical principles
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication
Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and metal fabrication environments
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot common issues during fabrication processes
Experience in assembly work is desirable but not essential
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality output
