Actual Salary - £17,575 - £18,830 per annum pro rata based on 25 hours per week

This role is term-time only, with one additional week during the school holidays.

JOB OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to provide support to the Senior Finance Manager in the smooth operation of the central Trust Finance Office.

You will:

Support with the timely completion month-end tasks and reporting. To include the journal processing and balance sheet reconciliations

Accounts payable and receivable tasks

Undertake year end finance tasks

Assist with Banking Administration

Manage the finance inbox.

Working pattern to be agreed but ideally to be spread over 4 or 5 days per week.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

This post would suit a candidate who is studying or wishing to study towards a professional accountancy qualification.

You will:

Have experience in finance and basic book-keeping (debts/credits)

Have a professional manner and approach and have the ability to remain calm under pressure

Have proficient IT skills including MS Office, particularly Excel

Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills to deal with enquiries by phone, email and in person

Have the ability to work autonomously, using initiative and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines

Have a flexible approach to meeting new challenges

Have a minimum grade C/4 in GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
