Full job description

We are a busy food business in Gateshead running both a pizza & dessert takeaway together. We’re looking for a reliable, energetic and friendly team member to join us.

If you’ve worked in a dessert shop, café, restaurant or similar fast‑paced food service role, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

Prepare, cook and serve food including waffles, milkshakes & pizza’s
Take orders in‑store and over the phone, plus handle payments accurately
Keep high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene at all times, maintaining a cleaning rota
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
Help with opening and closing duties
maintaining high quality even when orders flow in quickly

What you need

Previous food service / dessert shop / takeaway experience is essential — please only apply if you have this background
Friendly manner and strong customer service skills
Good level of English — confident speaking to customers and answering calls
Able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
Reliable, punctual and hard‑working
Flexible availability: evenings and weekends required — never later than 11 pm weekdays or 12 am weekends; early finishes on quiet nights and occasional cover for colleagues
Shifts will include bank holidays, public holidays, festive holdidays, weekends etc
