Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Digger Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to assist with various earthmoving tasks on-site. The role will be based at the Company's various golf courses and development sites. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment is crucial. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while developing your technical skills and experience within the industry.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators and other heavy machinery safely and effectively according to project specifications.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with site preparation, excavation, trenching, and loading materials as required.
Assist with maintenance of the company fleet
Follow health and safety regulations diligently, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage.

Requirements

Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery in a construction or civil engineering setting.
Mechanical knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.
Strong commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute effectively within a construction environment. Applicants should be organised, reliable, and possess a proactive approach to their work responsibilities.

Pay: £12.96-£15.00 per hour
