Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Shift leader to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of food and beverages. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, food safety, and creating a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience in a café setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right applicant. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and smoothies
Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, and baked goods
Ensure all food safety standards are maintained at all times
Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and processing payments accurately
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with health regulations
Restock supplies and organise stock levels to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritising customer needs with excellent time management skills
Support team members as needed to ensure a seamless café operation

Skills

Proven experience as a Barista.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
Strong serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Ability to prepare food items efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Excellent time management to handle busy periods without compromising service quality
Organised approach to multitasking and prioritising duties effectively

This position offers an engaging environment for those passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills within a supportive team.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour
