Job Summary

Join our team as a Hotel Receptionist, where your friendly demeanor and exceptional communication skills will create memorable first impressions for our guests. In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, addressing guest inquiries, and providing outstanding guest services. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to return time and again. Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a professional and friendly first point of contact
Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately
Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, or in person with excellent phone etiquette and multilingual or bilingual communication skills when applicable
Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, transportation options, and services to enhance guest stay experiences
Coordinate reservations, cancellations, and modifications using hotel management software
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary to ensure satisfaction
Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area while adhering to hotel policies and procedures
Take payments and maintain accurate reception records.
Carry out housekeeping duties, including cleaning and preparing guest rooms when required.
Check rooms to ensure they are clean, tidy and ready for guests.
Assist with laundry and general hotel cleaning when necessary.
Report maintenance issues and ensure problems are dealt with promptly.
Monitor hotel supplies and report when stock needs replenishing.
Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues where possible.
Take responsibility for the general organisation and smooth running of the hotel.
Work flexibly and assist other departments whenever required.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel reception or customer service roles preferred; hospitality experience is a plus
Multilingual or bilingual abilities highly desirable to assist diverse guests
Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of hotel management software systems is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and patience
Familiarity with hospitality standards and guest services best practices
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
