Café Supervisor – Part Time

Leeds City Centre | ⏰ 8am–3pm | 4 days per week | £13.00/hr

We're a new independent café opening in the heart of Leeds city centre, based within a coworking building. We're a Japandi-inspired space — minimalist, considered, and built around quality. We serve specialty coffee, freshly made Japanese shokupan sandwiches, and artisan pastries and cakes.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just make great coffee — but who takes genuine pride in the space, builds real relationships with our customers, and is ready to take ownership when needed.

The Role

This is a hands-on role working directly alongside the owner. You'll be the face of the café day to day, responsible for delivering an exceptional experience to our regulars and making every new customer feel at home.

You'll be trusted to open and close the café independently, manage daily operations smoothly, and uphold the standards we've built from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

- Preparing and serving specialty coffee to a consistently high standard

- Opening and closing the café independently

- Building genuine relationships with our regular customers

- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the space

- Supporting with food prep and service — sandwiches and pastries

- Helping to keep things running smoothly so the owner can focus on the bigger picture

What We're Looking For

- Previous barista or café experience — at least 1 year

- Someone who takes real pride in their work and the space around them

- Confident working independently and making decisions on the go

- A natural with people — warm, professional, and reliable

- An appreciation for good food and coffee, and an interest in Japanese or minimalist culture is a bonus

What We Offer
