Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support, managing patient appointments, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal applicant will possess strong office and administrative experience, with a friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone to work full time hours 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Managing patient appointments and scheduling using practice management software
Answering phone calls promptly and directing enquiries appropriately
Handling patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Processing payments and insurance documentation accurately
Coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless clinic operations
Managing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies

Experience

Prior office experience, ideally within a healthcare setting or similar environment
Proven administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent practice management systems
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

This role is vital in supporting the efficient running of our medical practice, ensuring patients receive timely assistance while maintaining high standards of professionalism. We welcome applicants who are organised, personable, and committed to delivering outstanding service in a healthcare environment.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
