Full job description

Job Overview: (Please note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required).

· To support the chef with kitchen duties to include food preparation, cleaning and monitoring stock levels.

Role Specific Duties:

· Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery in the kitchen

· Implement action to meet and maintain cleaning standards in the kitchen

· Ensure the service users rights are protected

· To access in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

· Support the residents in their choice of meals

· In collaboration with the cook initiate food orders on weekly basis

· Support the cook in maintaining adequate stock levels

· Assist the cook to maintain relevant and up to dated records

· Support the cook in undertaking food satisfaction surveys

Working with others:

· Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the service.

Leading by example:

· Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.

· Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times.

Personal Responsibilities: -

· Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management.

· Knowledge of, and work within, the fundamental standards.

· Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of CQC and their requirements.

· Commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role.

· Understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role.

· Be open to learning opportunities.

Qualification:

· Good English writing and verbal

· Knowledge of health and safety will be useful but training will be provided

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71 per hour
