Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food, maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene, and fostering a positive and efficient working environment. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for hospitality. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation across all dishes.
Develop and implement menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative ideas while adhering to dietary requirements and budget constraints.
Manage food safety standards in compliance with local regulations, conducting regular inspections and staff training.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Monitor inventory levels, control waste, and optimise stock management to reduce costs.
Ensure all food preparation and cooking activities meet the establishment’s quality standards.
Provide training and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health & safety regulations.
Assist in serving customers when required, ensuring excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate efficiently with team members and suppliers.
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
