Job Summary

Prestige Motor Mechanic is a vital role within our automotive service centre, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems. The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and vehicle care. The role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals to identify faults.
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks efficiently.
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
Carry out welding and equipment repair as required to restore vehicle integrity.
Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components or parts to ensure safety standards are maintained.
Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts utilised for each vehicle.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client queries professionally.

Experience

Proven experience as a motor mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and general troubleshooting.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients.
Prior experience working with automotive electrical systems is desirable but not essential.
