Birchwood School is looking for a School Administrator (SEN)!

Do you have a passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Birchwood children's services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Administrator to join our dynamic team.

Location: Warrington, WA3

Hours: Full time/Term time

Salary: £21,000 per annum

About the Role:

Administrative & Office Management

Manage school operations, including reception, phone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries.
Maintain student records, staff files, attendance data, and confidential documents.
Prepare and distribute letters, notices, reports, and other communication materials.
Organise school calendars, schedules, and appointments.

Student & Parent Support

Assist with admissions, enrolment, and withdrawal processes.
Support parents with queries regarding school policies, events, and student information.
Help manage student transport schedules, lunch programs, or extracurricular activities.

Staff Support

Provide administrative support to teachers and school leadership.
Assist with preparation of meetings, minutes, and documentation.
Coordinate training sessions, and professional development activities.

School Operations & Compliance

Ensure compliance with school policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee facility maintenance requests and liaise with vendors or service providers.

We are looking for

Proven experience in office administration, preferably in a school setting.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Google Workspace, student management systems).
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle confidential information responsibly.
Patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude when working with students, staff, and parents.
