CNC Machinist / Wheel Modification Technician

About Us

Tux Auto Design is one of the UK's leading specialists in alloy wheel modification and vehicle customisation. We work with customers throughout the UK and internationally, providing bespoke wheel fitment solutions and premium vehicle enhancements.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist / Wheel Modification Technician to join our expanding team.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced workshop environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision engineering and producing high-quality work.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for machining and modifying alloy wheels to specific vehicle fitments using CNC machinery and workshop equipment.

You will play a key role in ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely and to the high standards expected by Tux Auto Design and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Operating CNC machinery to modify alloy wheels.

Drilling alloy wheels to specific PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) fitments.

Measuring and checking wheel specifications accurately.

Ensuring all machining work meets company quality standards.

Inspecting completed work for accuracy and finish.

Maintaining machinery and keeping work areas clean and organised.

Following workshop procedures and health & safety requirements.

Assisting with general workshop duties when required.

Working efficiently to meet production deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Previous CNC machining experience.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work accurately and consistently.

Good understanding of measuring equipment and tolerances.

Reliable and punctual.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Experience working with alloy wheels.

Experience modifying wheel fitments or PCD drilling.

Engineering or machining qualifications.

Experience operating CNC milling machinery.

Automotive industry experience.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

9am-5.30 pm

Overtime opportunities may be available.

Salary & Benefits

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
